Something that I want to get into more is exploring the other blogs out there that concern the topics we’re most invested in: decorative bath and kitchen fixtures and remodeling. So I’m going to introduce this unique blog:

It have people share their horror and love stories they’ve had with different bathrooms.

I don’t have any pictures of it, but I do have a bathroom horror story.

It was 3 days before Christmas, and an upstairs toilet did not stop filling up after a flush. It was so slow that it was unnoticeable. After spending all night slowly overflowing, the whole family woke up to find that water was dripping from the ceiling in the guest bedroom, the whole bathroom floor, and the two surrounding vanity portions of the bathroom were flooded under about a half inch of water.

Since the water was leaking from the toilet, the plumber said that most likely we had blackwater seeping into the wood beams and studs. This could cause future mold growth, the type that’s severely harmful to your health. It had only been a few hours, so no mold had a chance to grow, but the presence of blackwater meant we had to strip out a significant portion of our house.

Luckily no one’s health was affected. We did decide to get a new brand of toilet, finding the highest quality unit we could afford. It also had a higher pressure system, so that a clog would be less likely.

So dear readers, what stories have happened in conjunction with your bathroom?
