Spring is upon us in a few months. Are you getting ready for some spring cleaning? Did you know that it actually promotes wellness both mentally and physically by keeping your environment clean and free of clutter. A cluttered house can actually be detrimental to your health. Here are some of the tips to help you with your spring cleaning.

First tip is to remove water stains from your faucets throughout the house. Over time calcium and watermarks will start to build up. You can clean it naturally with lemon. You can use a half of a lemon to rub on the sink and faucets. The citric acid will remove all hard water stains and calcium. You can also use vinegar to dissolve the mineral deposits that can accumulate in showerheads over time. You will want to fill a plastic bag with white vinegar, secure it over the showerhead with a rubber band and leave it overnight to get rid of buildup.

Another tip is cleaning that dirty microwave. Microwaves can become very dirty and messy with all of the splattering of food. An easy way to clean that up would be to cut a lemon into halves, squeeze the juice into 1/2 cup of water and drop the rinds into the mixture. Microwave for three minutes and let it stand for five minutes without opening the door. The steam will loosen the buildup so you can wipe it clean. This is such an amazing trick!

I bet your windows are pretty filthy and could use a good cleaning. Did you know the best thing to use to clean your windows is newspaper. It acts as a mild abrasive coupled with a mixture of ¼ cup of white vinegar, 2 cups or water and 2 teaspoons of soap. Spray the mixture onto the window and wipe with the newspaper. You will have a streak free shiny window. Now is the time to organize and clean your refrigerator and cupboards. Go through all of your condiments and spices making sure to throw out any old outdated items. Make sure to wipe down the shelves with some baking soda, water and a sponge. This will clean up any spills that have been left in the refrigerator while leaving it smelling fresh and odorless.

I bet your stove has all burnt up food and grease stains all over it. Well here is a hack for you. A wet dryer sheet set on your stove for 15 minutes will remove all burnt on food. A wet dryer sheet is not abrasive so it won’t scratch your stove but will clean it right up. These are just a few hacks Plumbtile has to help your cleaning go a little easier this Spring.
